Foundation: The Christie

My mate Tom (@scatmantom) undertook The Spartan Race earlier this month in Manchester to raise funds for The Christie, a specialist cancer care centre in North West England.

The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres and treats over 44,000 patients a year. The Christie charity aims to provide additional services and care, over and above what the NHS funds.

Spartan Races are challenging races across rough terrain with added obstacles to climb over and crawl under. I’ve never done one, but think The Krypton Factor meets It’s A Knockout.

Well done lads, looks like you put the fun in fundraiser! If anyone else wants to donate to their efforts you can do so through their Justgiving page.

If you’re raising money for a worthy cause, let me know using through the social media links and I will pick one every month for the Foundation feature (and donate £10)!
